The Millgate Arts Centre is a charity that runs a community of creative arts in Saddleworth. It takes very seriously the security of the personal data of our Members, Friends, Subscribers and audience.
This policy outlines how we use your personal data. We keep your data secure. You are in control of how it is used. It is only used to help you get value from being a part of the creative arts community in Saddleworth.
1. Data we collect
1.1 If you buy a ticket for Saddleworth Players, Saddleworth Live, Saddleworth Concert Society, or any other shows at Millgate Arts Centre using our partner Ticketsource we may keep your personal data for 3 years, so that we make it easier for you to book tickets and so we can contact you at a later date. If you subscribe to our mailing list through the Saddleworth Concerts Society or Saddleworth Players websites, your data will be retained for the same period of time. The 3-year period runs from your latest contact with us.
1.2 Examples of data stored are your name, address, email, phone number and the shows that you bought tickets for.
1.3 If you are a Member or Friend of Millgate Arts Centre, we collect and hold data using our partner Wild Apricot. We collect data of how you are interested in getting involved or have been involved (e.g. acting, directing, crew, FoH, bar etc) as well as name, address, email and telephone contact details.
2. How do we collect data?
We collect data from you, either verbally, in writing or through interaction with our websites, the Wild Apricot website/app, or the Ticketsource website.
3. How data is stored.
The information is stored on one of three systems. Ticketsource, our ticketing partner, holds details related to ticket sales, which is then used to maintain our mailing database, which is maintained with Mailchimp. Purchase of Subscriber tickets and donations are made through Ticketsource. Wild Apricot is a cloud-based membership system that holds data of our Members. Access to all these systems is securely managed with only limited admin access from named members.
4. How do we use your data?
We store and use your data to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Millgate Arts Centre. We only collect information that we need to run the theatre and shows.
4.1 Ticketsource data is used to send electronic confirmation via email for both Subscriber tickets and general ticket sales. Phone numbers are collected so that we can contact you if there is a change of details for a show, such as a cancellation or change of dates. If you opt in, we will send regular information about what’s on at the Millgate Arts Centre, via Mailchimp. Payment for tickets is completed via Ticketsource’s secure system. We don’t hold any card information at the Millgate Arts Centre.
4.2 Wild Apricot data for Members and Friends. You can access this information through a Wild Apricot Members’ App, with your secure password or through the Wild Apricot website. You can password protect and amend the data to give us as little or as much as you want. The more you give us, the more you can be involved in the Millgate Arts Centre. We will send emails and letters, and phone you as part of running the Arts Centre, and a regular newsletter through email and/or letter to keep you up to date with what is happening in both the shows and the running of the Millgate Arts Centre.
5. Removal of data
If at any time you wish your personal data to be removed from our databases, please contact us at email@example.com.
6. Retention period for personal data
We only keep your personal information for as long as is required by us (and in accordance with paragraph 1):
(a) To provide the services you have requested.
(b) To run the Millgate Arts Centre.
(c) To comply with other laws.

This policy was last updated May 2018. Our policy complies with UK law, including that required by EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will keep this policy updated.
