SPY are Saddleworth Players of the future and we’re keen to ensure that they learn stagecraft, as well as technical skills and feel at home in the theatre.
The Youth theatre group have been rehearsing all term, and have built the set, designed lighting and sound, and developed publicity for the show
Our SPY (Saddleworth Players Youth) get to develop all skills in theatre craft. After their technical rehearsal today, director Rebecca guided them in symbolic set painting.
The use of the ‘messy play’ theme of children’s handprints represents the fact that the youngsters in the the play ‘DNA’ are actually still children… even though they are involved in a rather dark set of events!
