SUMMARY:The Breathe Ensemble
DESCRIPTION:\n \nPaul Israel: piano; Joanne Green: violin, Harriet Wiltshire: cello\nWe welcome the Breathe Ensemble, an innovative piano, violin and cello trio from the South West of England. Their rich, entertaining programme includes Beethoven’s haunting “Ghost” and works by Brahms, Fauré and Smetana.\nThe Ensemble was co-founded by Joanne Green (also a violinist with the Scottish Ensemble). Australian by birth, Joanne won a postgraduate scholarship to study at London’s Royal College of Music. The group is well known for its creative and innovative mindset which she says influences the rest of her life. Her work on the violin encompasses both modern and baroque.\nHarriet Wiltshire studied at Wells Cathedral school and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, specialising in modern and baroque cello. She performs with many London-based period instrument ensembles and modern orchestras and she also plays regularly in the West End. She is principal cellist with The Bristol ensemble. She teaches the cello and is passionate about music education.\nPaul Israel has appeared on numerous film and television soundtracks recording music for Universal Music, Netflix and the BBC. He began learning the piano at the age of seven. He works as an orchestral and chamber pianist and has had multiple recordings broadcast on BBC Radio 3. He also teaches at the University of Bristol.\nWith such a star-studded line up look forward to a creative, luxuriant innovative approach to the classics.\n \n \n \nSaddleworth Concerts Society\nFounded in 1975 by Roger Tanner, the Saddleworth Concerts Society enriches the lives of our community by programming FOUR CONCERTS PER SEASON, featuring top quality classical music and more.
