We are looking for a new volunteer treasurer

Millgate Arts Centre is a creative community theatre that supports and develops all elements of the creative arts in Saddleworth. We have grown in the last 10 years and have plans to continue to develop in the next 5 years and beyond. To support and lead this growth as a community theatre we are looking to find a volunteer treasurer.   The treasurer would be a charity trustee, company director and key part of the management team. Members of the management team are also volunteers and have tasks allocated to them.

This role should oversee Millgate Arts Centre financial controls; forecasting and producing monthly and annual reports. As we have greatly increased the number of shows we perform or host compared to the past, we have recognised that we need to add support to this role.  We have therefore outsourced our accountancy service, book-keeper and payroll.  The treasure would manage the outsourced book-keeper service/ payroll and accountant and work closely with the management team. The role would manage/oversees day to day payment of invoices, expenses and other ad-hoc bills. Jackson Brierley provide book-keeper and payroll services and can advise on accounting principles for accounts sign off.
