Dobcross Silver Band with The Bailey Dolls

Join us for a very special Sunday afternoon brass band concert with DOBCROSS SILVER BAND and vocal harmony trio,  The BAILEY DOLLS.

The World famous Dobcross Silver Band was established in 1875 and proudly represents our neighbouring village of Dobcross in the Saddleworth area of Oldham. The Band has enjoyed success at the highest level of brass banding throughout its 148 year history. We are delighted to support this splendid band by hosting this concert and we congratulate them on recently becoming 4TH SECTION NATIONAL CHAMPIONS and wish them further success in the 3rd section (2023) with Jason M Smith as Musical Director.

The Bailey Dolls are a London-based vintage vocal trio who adore intricate harmonies, swinging rhythms, old-fashioned humour and rip-roaring entertainment! Their celebrated collaborations with Dobcross Silver Band make for a truly uplifting and entertaining afternoon of music and laughter. Formed in Australia in 2010 the Bailey Dolls shifted operations to London in 2015 and have since taken part in several international Fringe Festivals such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Adelaide Fringe Festival, performed bespoke cabaret shows for venues such as London Southbank, Hever Castle and The Australian Embassy and regularly appeared at wartime events such as Saddleworth Yanks weekend, Leicester Racecourse Vintage Carnival and Bletchley Park 1940s weekends. In 2019 the Dolls took to the high seas becoming resident performers aboard The Baltic Queen cruise ship for their festive season.

Singing ever expanding repertoire from The Andrews Sisters, The Boswell Sisters, Glen Miller and many more, the Bailey Dolls look forward to getting your toes tapping to classic nostalgic tunes and the girls are just thrilled to be teaming up with once again with their favourite Musical Director, “Jay-Jay“!
