Words Among the Heather – Open Mic Poetry and Spoken Word Event
‘Words Among the Heather’ (a reference to Saddleworth’s most famous poet Ammon Wrigley’s book ‘The Wind Among the Heather’) is our second popular open mic poetry and spoken word event.

Audience members just £5 entry (in support of the Millgate Building the Future Fund).
Writers from Saddleworth and the surrounding area are welcome to share their poetry, spoken word, stories, local interest, monologues, etc. Each performer will get a friendly 5 minutes to read/perform to a warm and supportive audience of like-minded souls and local folk.
The event will take place in the Bar Studio of the Millgate Arts Centre.
