Hello everyone. I am Mercedes and I have been a member of the Farndale Townswomen’s Guild for a good few years now. I won’t tell you exactly how long – as you might be able to guess my age! I love being involved in the dramatic society. Sadly, I haven’t won any acting awards yet, but I think it’s the hard work and enthusiastic team work that counts.
I must admit that Mrs. Reece has always been an absolute star organising everyone. She is like a kindly mother hen- although I hope she’s not becoming bored listening to all my aches and pains.
Unfortunately, I had a bit of an accident a couple of months ago. I was quite badly injured in a supermarket trolley stampede when a new batch of TOILET ROLLS arrived!!! Anyway, I am determined not to let the other ladies down – and Gordon, of course – and I will still manage to play Bob Cratchit, and various other parts, in our wonderful production of “A Xmas Carol” at the Millgate.
